  1. Hi I ama local youth organizer working with students at Ballou High School.
Do you have a local office in Washington DC where the students could come to and learn about what your organization does?

    Thank you,

    Adam Angel, MSW
    “Youth-Led” After School Coordinator

  2. 1) Is the March 14th Youth Summit open to high school students who live out of state? An 11th grader from Raliegh, NC will be visiting me that weekend. Want to see if he’ll be able to attend.

    2) Do you have a description of the workshops, breakout session, and panel?

    Thank you.

  3. You can definitely bring your visitor! Just make sure to register them online.

The workshops will vary from How to Make Your Own Club to How to Build a Community Garden. The breakout sessions are designed to address any questions or concerns attendees may have about climate change, school environmental activism, and how to deal with an administration. The panel will be made up of four young environmental activists, and will be predominantly question and answer.

  4. I would like to attend the D.C. Youth Summit on climate change and environmental degredation. I am a fisheries biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and an alumnus of Sidwell Friends School, class of 1976.

  5. I have already registered to attend this event and would like to know if I need to have a chaparon or if a parent needs to be present at drop off and pick up.

  6. Can anyone come to the meeting on Sunday? I missed the summit due to SATs but would love to get involved!

  7. Hi,

There is an opportunity for DC high school youth to participate in a climate change program at national parks this summer. It is an incredible new program and I want to get the opportunity into the hands of interested. How do I get in touch with teachers in DC who will help me get this out?

  8. Hey! So it is way after April, are there any more meetings happening?

  10. We want to know if you would like to be an exhibitor at DC Teacher Night. The event is on October 28, 2009 and we will have (40) local environmental organizations on hand and expect 150 DC teachers from DCPS, charter and private schools.

If you are interested, please contact me ASAP at (202) 441-0231. Thank you.
